Three words to describe your classes:
Form focused, fast paced, ”fun”
What made you want to teach / instruct?
I attended my 1st barre class, not knowing what to expect. I fell in love 100% with it that day. It became my happy place as I was a student of barre for years before we were transferred back to Columbus. At that time, nobody in the Columbus area really knew what barre exercise was and there were not any classes available. The barre classes I took in Nashville changed my life in so many ways and I quickly became determined to bring it to Columbus. So I did. (-:
What’s your favorite thing about teaching at Be Well?
The space and community are so both so warm and welcoming. Katie constantly looks out for everyone’s well being. It feels like home to me. I also enjoy the mints.
Outside of working out, what are some of your hobbies? What do you love to do?
I love visiting all of my adult children that are scattered about the US. Spending time with my grandson is always quite special. I love to cook, obsessed with food network, more obsessed with my dog Joie, enjoy long walks with friends, downhill and cross country skiing, water sports, dining out with friends, coffee and wine dates, and a good nights sleep is always spectacular.
What's your morning routine? How do you like to start your day?
With a nice cup of coffee, snuggles with my pup and planning my classes for the day.
Words of Wisdom! What is the best advice you have ever received or a quote you live by?
“Just because you can, does not mean that you should.” From my Dad!
How do you and/or what does it mean to:
LIVE WELL: I put love and kindness for myself and others as my first priority.
DO WELL: I do my best to leave things and the people around me better than I found them.
BE WELL: When the day is done, I forgive myself for things I could have done differently, celebrate the things I did well, and move forward.
